FAQs

What is Parrot Radio?

Parrot Radio is a web3 native mobile music app for all your audio and audiovisual NFTs that you own. Users can listen to, view, curate into playlists, and read about the music NFT's they own, as well as view your non-music NFT's in the in-app gallery.

Why Parrot Radio?

Parrot Radio was built and designed over six months in consultation with Violetta Zironi. The web3 music NFT space was sorely missing an app that did not take advantage of musicians. To use the app, the music NFT's need to be owned, and therefore the musician has been paid. The app then allows the user to enjoy the music NFT's in the way they want to, away from the marketplace, in a seamless and intutive music app.

Do I need to wallet connect?

No, you simply type in the address which holds the music NFT's. There is no concern re security. You can get your friends and family to download the app and login to your address to check out and listen to your music NFT's, a flex for you, and also a web2 native experience for them.

Can I listen to all my music NFT's?

No, an issue presented by Violetta, was that her music. and others, was being monetised, or used without her permission. We only add the music contracts for musicians we partner with. For the full list you can check our discord or scroll through the in-app newsfeed. If you want your favourite web3 musician on the app, let them know to reach out and we can chat with them.

Does it cost?

Not at this stage. Parrot Radio is free to download and use. However, you must have minted, bought the music NFT's in order to play them in the app off your favourite NFT marketplace.
